About Us - How we Started!
After planning and commencing a Large Force Exercise (LFE) in 2009, Rock Mendenhall and his military buddies were at a local pub in Savannah thinking of new ideas for the exercise execution. We decided that we could someday help DoD and commercial agencies by coming up with 'outside the box' thinking approaches often hindered by bureaucratics. The initial plan started on a napkin and that was the thought that kept on popping up again and again in the team's head.
Rock went back to his civilian job as an aircraft electrical and systems engineer, and realized that since his company was bought, effective leadership and team concepts had disappeared. Profit margin, not people had become the company's focus. Disappointed with these facts, Rock decided to move to Washington, D.C. to take a leadership role job for the Air Force. From that point, he thought about what he wanted to do beyond this short tour, building block professional career. "I always wanted to make a positive contribution to society and wanted to teach leadership while also moving back to aircraft engineering," exclaimed Rock. He hooked up with magnificent folks at Sisarina in Bethesda, MD and decided to take this 2009 idea and implement it into action. That is how 'The Wright Interface' was born. We wanted to be a contributor to teaching organizations leadership and interfacing them with other folks of the same caliber. We also wanted to take the spirit of aviation and take it to the next level by coming up with approaches that were about giving back, creating teams of highly motivated individuals, and basing our goals on making a positive impact and not profit margin.
From that concept, we continued to work with companies with fresh, innovative ideas like Sisarina and Soul Intelligence to further refine techniques and services that would be beneficial to users. These highly motivated individuals were the start of our interface and we'd like to interface them with similar high-speed professionals. We also started to put a team of talented individuals who are innovative, smart, and easy to work with. Life is about making a difference in the lives of others. That is why we created the "The Wright Interface" and "The Wright Leadership". We are here to make projects fun and deliver high quality products with a team that you will remember and enjoy working with! WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS WITH A BIG VISION AND WANTING TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT TO THOSE AROUND US!!
